Without faith in God we will not be able to grow, please God, or mature spiritually. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without FAITH it is impossible to please God; for it is necessary that he that cometh to God should believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:1, “Faith is the surety of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Faith is simply acting in what is not seen, but receiving with certainty what is expected. We must not allow our faith to waver when life’s challenges or contrary situations sometimes attack us. We must keep our eyes and focus on Christ. If he is on the boat with us everything will be fine. Our faith in God is what will help us not to worry or be anxious about anything because his word says in Philippians 4:6, “Be anxious for nothing …” There will be times when we are going to have to accept what is for now, leave what has already happened and have faith in God in what is to come.
